On Friday 2nd January , Station Manager Alex James had a meeting with owner of the recently formed McCreery Broadcasting Group , Alex McCreery and discuessed mbg taking management and leadership over Radio Hants. The deal was compleated at midday meaning now Radio Hants , Radio Hants Local Projects and Radio Hants Today are owned by mbg.

A statement from Alex James reads:

"Us joining mbg is very good because it makes us more recognisable as a brand insted of just a random local radio station. We also have less work to do as the local projects can be done as a mbg work not as radio hants."

Alex McCreery said :

" We're very happy to have Radio Hants on board
